7. Funny how he suddenly "remembered" those donations after being confronted with them...
...and after having told his boss he hadn't donated.

8. I wish $4,000 bucks to me meant nothing...
Said he didn't recall the total of $4,000 bucks in contributions when he was talked to.

God, wish I made so much that $4k meant as little.

12. Here we go again.
This is an outrage. MSNBC has done it again. There were a lot of threads on DU when this happened to Keith and with DU's support in writing letters to MSNBC, we were able to make a difference.

Although Joe's opinions suck, we at DU understand that it doesn't matter what his politics are, it is a matter of principle. MSNBC should not give a shit if one of their hosts makes a campaign donation, period. I'm sure there will be just as much outrage here over this as there was with Keith.

MSNBC is supposed to be fighting the good fight not intruding on other peoples lives!

14. then his fans should jump in and defend him don't you think?
They didn't jump in the defend Keith. Keith's fans did.

18. Not the point.

It shouldn't be about who you are a fan of or who's side you are on. It is a matter of principle. If someone thinks the reasons for Keith's suspension were wrong, then they have to have the same feelings towards Joe's suspension or that person is a hypocrite.

It's like a rabid fan of a sports team who is willing to overlook a bad call because the call went in their favor. They will ignore the call even if they know it is a bad call if it benefits their team but if the situation is reversed and hurts their team they are OUTRAGED and screaming bloody murder at the injustice.

Besides Joe has what, 3 fans anyway? Not a fair fight against ratings monster Keith Olbermann.

19. Laughing because Scarborough got suspended isn 't the same as thinking it's OK just
because it happened to him. I doubt too many people here think the suspension is any more deserving or right. But it's quite satisfying to see blowhards like Scarborough get smacked down. The GOP can't always have all the fun.

16. Folks.. this is about ratings.. just like the K Oberman thing......
Edited on Fri Nov-19-10 07:20 PM by lib2DaBone
I Love MSNBC.. but they have to get rating numbers to compete with Faux.

A word of advice.. no matter what your hear on Faux or MSNBC... keep an open mind.. check it out.. check the facts and figures... more often than not.. they are wrong... intentionally.
