Use Your Executive Authority, President Obama

In the wake of November’s “shellacking,” progressives are rightfully concerned that the next two years may result in little more than total gridlock. With a Republican-controlled House, the chances of major legislation making its way to the president’s desk are, indeed, virtually nonexistent.

But the administration’s hands are not completely tied. On the contrary, the president still has the power to use executive orders, rulemaking and diplomacy to further the progressive agenda without ever consulting Congress.

1. The first one ought to be to rein in TSA.
Talk about a move that would be popular in all corners.

3. Absolutely not. Play it out.....

One person with a 'device' gets through security due to Obama's lessening of TSA regulations? And it goes off?

He needs to stay out of that debate. It's a lose-lose.

4. Like the Rapescan or the bad touch are going to stop anything?
No need to play out any chicken little nonsense on this - the security theater is not about stopping "devices." Stop the theater and there will be no impact on "devices."

5. That's the point, isn't it. If there will be no impact, he's got to allow
it to continue until a device DOES get through, which is kinda inevitable, to show that the theater does no good. OTOH, if he stops the theater, and then a device gets through the 'smaller less intrusive government' people will claim that it got through BECAUSE he stopped the TSA's overreaching, and he will be completely unable to refute it.

Which choice would you make?

6. Me? I'd make the constitutional choice and stop the Total Sexual Assault.
I don't have much faith Obama will do that.

7. The TSA is now breaking the constitution?

Illegal search? Is it illegal if we are able to not agree to it - can always take a bus.

Let the teabaggers and their less government intervention handle this issue....

9. And the first time any device detonated on a plane, the right would blame YOU
(in the scenario of 'what would you do?') and make the searches even more intrusive. Costing you the next election.

See how that works?
