Palin tells ABC she can beat Obama in 2012
If she decides to run for president in 2012, Sarah Palin thinks she can beat President Obama. That's according to an interview the ex-Alaska governor conducted with ABC's Barbara Walters.

Echoing her comments to the New York Times Magazine, Palin tells Walters that she's seriously considering a 2012 run.

5. Well if she didn't think she could beat him, she wouldn't run, so that makes sense. I don't think
she has a chance though. The GOP establishment seems to dislike her, so she will not get the full support from them, and the tea party is relatively small and doesn't have the funds to support a presidential candidate. I hope she does run because I think it will be fun--definitely more amusing than if someone like McCain ran.

8. She absolutely will never be elected president.
If she did, the fortunes of the left would soar globally, but it will never be in the cards because it would be a disaster for US capitalism. Interestingly, we are living in a time when any administration is becoming untenable by either party.

27. There is a difference there.
Bush, by birth was granted immense power and status beyond his capabilities. The man is worthless, but he is a member of one of the most powerful families in modern American history. His family has connections that were instrumental to his campaign and the decision to install him as president.

Palin is equally stupid as Bush Jr. is. She has a similar personality, but alas she is just a celebrity. She generates news and views, but she has NONE of the behind the scenes power that Bush and his family has. That is why I think that she will never get anywhere near to the White House as Bush did.

Stupidity is not the worst enemy of Americans. We have always had an element of stupidity in this country. Apathy is the worst enemy. Obama and the Democrats need to have a message and get people motivated to vote. People staying home gives a person like Palin the best chance of winning.

She will always have her die-hard, stupid following, but that is nowhere near enough to win an election without considerable help by apathetic Democrats.

32. She is a complete idiot and she cannot win in a world with any rationality.
She should not be discounted, but there is extremely limited chances for her to win. She just does not have the following to win. She doesn't have the skills to lead anything more than a cult following. As long as the Democrats do not become completely complacent and apathetic, she has no chance to become president.

33. She is in fact, a joke.
She has no class, a street hustler's mentality, no intellectual curiosity, and no game plan. To her everything is a business opportunity and becoming the President is not a business. She will always have a rabid following of the equally inane, but she does not have what it takes to become president and never will.

I will definitely grant you that she is insane, as are her followers, but I did mean inane as a follow up to the fact that she has no substance, no plan, and no skills. She is an empty suit and her followers are as empty headed as she is.

45. Agreed, and worse, she will now be just another reality tv "star" in people's minds
Maybe she can convince Snookie to join her on the ticket as VP.

Or since Bristol is doing that condom commerical with The Situation, perhaps she can persuade him to be number 2 on the ticket for her mom in return for some "fancy stripper walking" like she's been doing in Dancing with the Stars.

I'm just not seeing it anymore - she's always been everything you said, but now she's demoted herself by her TLC show and I don't even think she realizes what she's done in adding "reality tv star" to her resume right beside "1/2 term governor".
