1. Some stunning accounts on that site.

Unfuckingbelievable where this country has gone.

on edit: This poster nailed it:

Cat1099 in FlyerTalk (Nov. 7, 2010 ): I opted out at IND a week ago. As gropes go, it was okay, but it seemed designed to be public shaming for disobedience.

2. No, it is intentional. These goons know full well the
American public are not terrorists. The agency now exists to make money for corporations that manufacture nude-o-scopes, to provide employment for the otherwise unemployable, and to take away whatever shred of constitutional rights we have left. Welcome to the police state.

13. I've encountered tsa personnel who are unemployable.
The snot nosed brat I was forced to deal with at LAX last year could not have gotten a job elsewhere. Rude as hell. Horrible attitude. Slovenly appearance. The tsa does not have high standards. What kind of human being would even take a job that requires humiliating the general public? Sorry, no sympathy for people whose paycheck says "tsa." (And I know full well how bad the economy is and how desperate people are to find work.)

15. No they don't
Take your hate at really upper management.

Or you hate workers in general?

Yes some are rude, so are they at the local store. So yes some are slovenly, been to a college campus lately?

Hating the workers don't work, even if this is "very Murican" and as usual distracts you from those behind the curtain including POTUS.

Edited on Wed Nov-17-10 03:41 PM by LibDemAlways
Don't judge me. TSA is a government agency. Their workers should be held to a high standard. After all, we are paying them out of our tax dollars.

Rude is unacceptable. Slovenly is also unacceptable.

Why make excuses for the tsa workforce?

21. Because they have the background check from hell
And they are not unemployable.

Individual workers, like every other field, are a pain. I take issue with general statements applying to the class. I take my anger with MANAGEMENT... Not the line worker.

polygraphs from hell in order to qualify for his job. I sincerely doubt the average tsa employee could make the cut, so I don't know what you are talking about.

I also earn a paycheck on the public dime, and you can bet I shower every day before reporting to work and I treat my co-workers and those with whom I come into contact with courtesy and professionalim - unlike what is happening at our airports.

24. And you know this how?
Their check is equivalent to clearance in the navy, for example.

I agree some employees should not be there but.. I refuse to make those generalizations knowing full well most issues are coming from the top.

This is a well thought out process for creating a compliant, mindless, unthinking, fearful population of sheep...

SO that the Masters of the Universe can continue their looting and pillaging of the Earth's resources...

For their own short-term gain...

It has NOTHING to do with "keeping people safe", it has ALL to do with keeping people afraid...

Remember, "WE the People" didn't create this bullshit. The two right-wings of the Corporate War Party did...

Whether international or internally, the result is the same....less people flying to US and less people in the air, eventually.

we've become a nation of sheep being led to slaughter.

it's only gonna get worse as the years go by. Our kids and grandkids will never know moving from state to state without having to show their papers and explain why they're where they're at.

and humiliation by the sick twins: TSA and 'Homeland' Security and the execs that run them-there is absolutely no need to force the flying/paying public to disgusting strip searches and violent behavior from some brain dead droids they hire for pennies to enforce this behavior - we all live in Gitmo, now.

28. The police state has been quite willfully constructed over decades
Including what I would say is a patently and purposefully false misinterpretation of our fundamental laws on privacy and search.

The sheep factor is off the meter and the propagandizing and dulling of critical thinking skills that is done to strongly encourage such unthinking compliance is also done with great purpose.
