Question re: TSA scanner employees and exposure to the machine on a regular basis
For whatever amount of radiation exposure there is in using the scanners, are the TSA employees being protected from any stray radioactive emissions?

I know when I have any type of x-ray for medical/dental reasons, the tech is out of the room, and in some instances, i am also given coverage with a lead apron or some shielding to avert extensive or stray emissions from the machine.
