Car theft..charges dropped. Car theft...charges dropped...enlists in Army at 17 and gets relieved of his duties a couple years early (another car theft accusation...charges dropped)
Went to college.
Car theft...charges dropped....Insurance fraud (involving alleged car theft) charges dropped.
Makes a gazillion dollars with his own (wait for it) CAR BURGLAR ALARM company.
And is soon to be chair of the House Oversight Committee.
What is this country coming to?
I know WIkipedia isn't a completely trustworthy source...but, still!

I did the same thing! I was surprised of all his crimes of the past. He must have had one rich/powerful Daddy who got him out of all these messes.....reminds me of Papa Bush and his annoying little W.

Whisper campaign....Issa is a 'middle easterner.' Will the bible-thumpers like that?

35. So sorry that I don't
play 'nicey' with a dude who should be an ex-con. Have you read his stance on policy issues? He really borders on the Insane.

Just to let you know, politics is not for the squeamish. The repugnants have been sticking it to the dems for years. I would like to see the Dems use Rovian tactics against them for a change.

Go ask Eliot Spitzer about this.

Vitter is still in office because we are 'nice.'

7. That's the guy!
He put a whole bunch of his own money in the effort to recall Gray Davis. Issa wanted the job for himself.

I never quite understood how he keeps getting re-elected but we do have our share of crackpot politians in CA who make me wince in disbelief.

10. No, I think Issa was just the front man
and he knew all along it was to install Arnold.

Remember, Arnold was invited to the Cheney secret energy meetings, pre-9/11, pre-Davis recall.

Issa was a good soldier and did what he was told to do.

As for "his own money"... I'm sure he got all plus much more back. In unmarked bills.

29. Yes
CA is a funny place. With the notable exception of San Diego (conservative), the ocean to 50 or 100 miles inland (for the length of the state) is one of the more progressive parts of the entire country. The rest of CA (with a few minor exceptions) is dead red.

Issa is a piece of work. Probably has nothing to fear in his district.

his district is made of a heavy Republican housing area and a more liberal renting area. The problem is renters tend not to vote and the people in houses do.

Frankly the people I know that live in his district can't stand the man. He's dirty to the core.

11. Crazy RWer Debbie Schlussel ranted on Issa last year...
Here's just a single paragraph:

http://www.debbieschlussel.com/6215/jihad-darrells-thuggery-v-rahms-way-pot-kettle-very-black/

Issa has made a career of being a shill, cheerleader, and personal representative in Congress for Hezbollah, Arafat, Syria, and the global Islamic terror machine. He has a track record of anti-Semitic statements–dismissing critics (like myself) because they are “Jews”–and of using his Congressional office to try to intimidate others, mostly conservatives and many political enemies. And then there’s his long criminal record. During his life–he stole at least three cars, stole his multi-million dollar business, stole patents, fired an employee at gunpoint, committed arson and insurance fraud, at a plant (and then the detective investigating it mysteriously “died”), lied about his military record, was caught carrying a concealed weapon and ammunition including tear gas (believed to be for the purpose of committing armed robbery), and even stealing one of his fellow soldier’s cars.

He was a major force responsible for callling for the Calif voters to recall Gray Davis and hold the special election that brought Arnold to the governorship of the US's most populus state

And his district just keeps re-electing him

30. Yes Sir... Rick Scott Is As Bad Or Worse! My Daughter Works For A
cardiologist who is ASTOUNDED that he got elected. I'm not sure he DID actually win because I've come to believe that Jebby Bush & his cohorts RUN THIS STATE! With ALL the BUSHIES involved in some way or another.

This doctor alone knows many other doctors who simply can't believe he's the Governor here. As we speak I hear there's even more fraudulent charges against him, SINCE he's become Governor. The doctor knows a LOT about all the Columbia/HCA Medicare crap that went on. He was of the opinion he actually was convicted of 14 charges. I SHOULD do more research, but find it USELESS because it's just THAT DEPRESSING! To know how very CROOKED Scott is only makes it worse that he's now the Governor!

HOW does this stuff happen? I simply can't fathom how we've gotten to this point in this country where ACTUAL CROOKS have infiltrated so many elected offices. NOBODY seems to have an answer, the problem is so overwhelming that I suppose we just don't know where or how to rid ourselves of these bottom feeders.

I tell people about certain facts and many just look at me like I've lost a few marbles! I'm just so worn out by the whole process, and trying to reason with people who simply DON'T want to hear anything negative about a person they helped to elect!!

AND THIS FACT is what is standing in the way of ANY progress being made by "we the people!" We don't exist for them, they only want MONEY & NOTORIETY! Making enough noise about others is a GREAT cover for their misdeeds and corruption. That's the only way I can make any sense of it.

Living in Florida is a political JOKE. I think I just heard that Scott wants to do away with the EPA and what it means! WILL people ever learn?

36. Yes, this man needs to be investigated himself.
I also have ancedotal evidence that he cheated on the recall of Grey Davis. It will take some good investigative reporting or a court of law though to get hard evidence of this that can be used to indict him or at least send him into the corn field. It needs to be done before he wreaks damage on our President and government in Washington.

This guy thinks he's above every law, but wants to make sure he can wield law enforcement against anyone else!

http://www.debbieschlussel.com/696/border-patrol-hating-hezbollah-supporting-gop-rep-for-california-statewide-office/

He was also one of the big listed "complainers" about Carol Lam's record on prosecuting immigration violations as a reason she got fired (more likely she got fired for going after Duke Cunningham, Brent Wilkes, Dusty Foggo, and other Republican criminals). Of course here's a case that shows that she did in fact prosecute immigration, but probably the way that Issa and other fascist Republicans didn't want her to...
