Poll question: Post-Maddow Interview Jon Stewart poll
Edited on Fri Nov-12-10 04:59 PM by Tiggeroshii
I'm still catching up on the interview and the rally, but I'm curious to see exactly how DU feels about Stewart since his interview.

2. They're obviously two VERY smart people
and I felt like the discussion was just getting started between them.

3. I would have voted "I'm fatigued at the whole debate about him"
if it were available.

I think Jon is a very funny and capable guy. I don't think anyone that is critical of him is "evil" though. He's just a TV personality.

4. Other:
I didn't watch it, I have rarely watched Jon Stewart, I have never watched nor listened to Rachel Maddow, and my opinion on Jon Stewart has always been, and still is, the same as my opinion of any other media talking head. Dislike the bullshit, appreciate the good parts, don't trust any of them, and don't give them enough of my time and attention for anything they might say to matter.

5. I Loved Him On The Nanny
I loved him when he did an episode on "The Nanny"!

He and Fran Drescher were just fabulous together.

Then he let his hair start to go gray.

So sad.

7. I'm gonna chalk it up to him being sick....
He talked around some of her points, but others he answered fine. He just seemed to be getting mixed up with what she was asking and he just didn't seem himself.

It did make me realize just how fucking great an interviewer Rachel is. She does something that no news person on either side or in the purported non-partisan category do: She asks a question and then she actually listens to the answer.

10. Where's the option for no change / I still see him playing the same role as always?

15. My opinion is the same, I still like him
But I don't agree with his views on everything. At times reminds me of a little old lady, uncomfortable with things/people/issues that don't fit neatly into his definition of normal. He made fun of Cynthia McKinney when she should have had the support of all of us. But overall his contributions outweigh his negatives, so I'll continue to like and accept him for who he is. :)
