Sheesh.

This will not be much of a diary, but my frustration at the failure of this simple message to get out and take hold boiled over a little bit today as I drove in and listened to a rightwing caller to the Stephanie Miller show go on about how taxing the rich will kill jobs, and nobody - not Stephanie, not Jim Ward, not John Fugelsang, not even Stephanie's special guest Laura Flanders, could grab this embarrassingly simple fact and blow up the 'winger's argument with it in one fell swoop:

According to the Wall Street Journal,
job growth under George W. Bush was the worst
for any president EVER for as long as records have been kept..

See what those Bush tax cuts did for jobs? Yeah, thought so.

5. As in S. Korea
Go to work as a teen, work EVERY DAY till you drop at 70 or so.

Our weekends are a gift of Unions.. As is the middle class wage itself.

Not from Corporate kindness.

3. the money is used to send factories to India
Edited on Fri Nov-12-10 02:43 PM by billlll
That's WHY the info above happens as it does.

Not cheap to send a factory across the globe.

Please, always add a "why" to the facts... More persuasive.

Thanks for a super OP, kpete. Best in many a day. I am envious.
