Good grief: Pat Sajak apologizes for introducing Keith Olbermann to America.
Wow the host of “America’s Game” has it in for Keith Olbermann.

“Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak is delivering an online mea culpa for introducing Olbermann to a national TV audience. In the late 1980s, Sajak hosted a late-night show on CBS. Today on the website Ricochet, an online conversation platform that says its members are politically “spread across the right of center,” Sajak writes, “I thought Keith was pretty funny on the air, and I suggested we have him come on the show and talk sports. This was the first of several appearances he made on the show, and he always did a nice job.”

Sajak continues:

I’m not sure how he morphed into the bitter-sounding, hate-mongering name-caller he’s become, but I’m sorry he did. I liked the guy, and he was always a good guest. Maybe it’s just show business and trying to find a place in it and building an audience, but I don’t know. We were never friends away from the show, so I can’t even guess what drives him.

http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/category/msnbc

Maybe eight years of a stupid-sounding, war-mongering, nickname-caller like Bush put the bitter on Keith's tongue. Or it could be that Keith is simply patriotic: speaking up about the country's ills so we can better them.

Or, most likely, it's because Sajak is a jealous has-been (ever was?)!

22. I've never liked Sajak. He often joked about only working 2 hrs a week & making millions.
The guy is a total incompetent fool. I dont know anyone who likes him. And his tv talk show was a complete flop. If Merv Griffin hadn't hired him Sajak would be washing windshields on street corners. Hell, I doubt if he can even do that.

18. A little over the top, I'd say.
"...bitter-sounding, hate-mongering name-caller..." makes it apparent that Sajak has never taken the time to watch an entire show. And its also is clear that Sajak has never moved beyond the age of 25 as far as intellectual challenges. He and Vanna make a great living by being milquetoast. Besides I'm sure that they both make a high six figure income. So I imagine it didn't take much for Sajak to take the anti-Obermann position.

I dated a guy in college whose parents lived next door to Terry. He always seemed so sweet.

I knew he was center right, I guess - or I suspected it - but I didn't know he'd turned into a creepy neocon.

26. In college in the 80s, some friends - while drunk and watching "Wheel" - sent Pat a letter.
They stated that they wanted to start a chapter of the Pat Sajak Fan Club at Virginia Tech. Two weeks later, a HUGE box of "Wheel" paraphernalia shows up, including dozens of Sajak photographs (which we used as dart boards).

38. Well I was trying to make people think
Think about what they are saying, what they are doing.

What did Sajak claim. He said KeithO has "morphed into the bitter-sounding, hate-mongering name-caller"

And the response of KO's fans? To bitterly call Sajak a bunch of hateful names.

Supporting Keith and attacking Sajak are not necessarily the same things. When somebody says or does something that you disagree with, even strongly disagree with, it is not necessary to go directly to hate. Especially not when the other person is accusing you of being hateful.

39. A long time ago, Pat Sajak was on the Tonight Show and he had the nerve
to complain that he had to work one week per month. He said the show (they tape five shows per day for a week each month), made it to where he could never vacation for more than three weeks at a time. The audience actually booed him for this complaint, but he didn't seem to get why they were booing. I never forgot that interview because I couldn't get over just how bad Sajak sucked. I always knew he kind of sucked, but wow. He sucks BAD.

Keith Olbermann
Just to clear up this "Pat Sajak introduced me to America" bull****: http://bit.ly/cM8fCa

Pat Sajak did not introduce me to America. I started on CNN the same year he started on “Wheel” (1981) and by the time I guested on his show in 1989, I’d already spent three years as a national sports correspondent for CNN, had a feature done on me by The Today Show (1986), been on the CBS Evening News (1988), and begun guest-hosting on ESPN (1989).

I think if he needs to apologize for anything it needs to be that talk show. When he was canceled, he was replaced by a crime-and-skin series called “Silk Stalkings,” for God’s sake. Obviously we guests must’ve really stunk.
