I watch and listen to the reports on the media of how things appear to be shaping up with the Rs
in charge, and then I come here and become even more discouraged by what I see here.

I'm disgusted right now and have been for some time. I'm exhausted and quite honestly wish I could will myself to exit stage right. I don't recall a time in my life when I have felt so useless and unable to have an effect on my life or those around me.

I still maintain that there is no way this nation will be salvaged without the participation of the majority of its people and through working together at all levels. I just don't see a way to get there or the will. Nor do I feel anything but rejection and scorn from even those purportedly on "my side" of the spectrum.

1. This is a time of turmoil and soul-searching all the way around...
I trust things will become clearer soon - who's truly invested in progressive change, who to partner with, how to get there.

It's time to watch closely and gather strength.

5. I don't know what we'd do without people like Rachel digging for the truth...
...since straight talk is so hard to come by.

12. I totally agree!
She has far more resources than we do... and she's freaking smart to boot!

Thanks... I love the quote too... I'm really enjoying his time on the Steph Miller show. He's amazing. Smart, funny, and he knows his dogma! LOL!

4. RE:"there is no way this nation will be salvaged without the participation of the majority
of its people" You nailed it.

It is impossible to believe that most Americans do not believe in the principles of Democrats across America. A small, zealous minority is controlling the elections now and some are even voting against themselves though ignorance.

8. "impossible to believe that most Americans do not believe in the principles of Democrats"
I can count on one hand the people that I know off-line who care about any of this (unless, of course, they're all for it!)

I know what you're saying, but if you find it "impossible to believe that most Americans do not believe in the principles of Democrats across America", then you live and work among a much better class of people than I do.

7. Presently, big money is in charge. That is obviously a bad thing
for America. But, how to wrest power from big money is not so obvious. In fact, I don't have a clue as to how the ordinary majority of Americans could reverse this awful situation. The crazy thing is that it is the ordinary majority of Americans that is supporting this political perversion. Why? I don't know.
