1. Absolutely. Because the GOP will criticize President Obama no matter what he does on any given issue
Edited on Mon Nov-08-10 08:07 PM by Kievan Rus
There's no point in bipartisanship if the GOP and the right-wing noise machine will vilify him no matter what he does. He isn't going to win Republicans to his side, so he might as well try his hardest to unite the Democratic base.

2. We hired a leader, not a mediator.
I am a staunch supporter of the President, but he needs to appear "Presidential". Especially, when times are so uncertain.

7. Agreed. An expanded hiring tax credit would be fine by me. But a straight
tax cut. NO WAY.

"Republicans want our children to pay taxes for millionaires, we can't afford that." < My silly talking point. ;)

8. Apparently he thinks a second term is worth it
but it would be better to keep your principles and only have one term than a second term and give up all you stand for IMO. :-(

9. Chamberlain or Churchill .....
Appeaser or Fighter....

The choice is yours, Mr President.
Your legacy will depend on your choice.
There is no middle ground here.

10. Better that no legislation goes through in the next two years than we loose what gains we made with
banking reform and hcr.
