What if KO and Griffin
did this to show the real difference between GEM$NBC and Fox?

1. Haha-no. Griffin seems to want to emulate faux, though
he has a darned funny way of going about it. x(

4. It does if you know...
...that, apparently, Griffin and KO have been on less-than-friendly terms for some time, and Griffin probably leapt at the chance to either get rid of Keith or, if not, at least to "show him who's boss."

5. I'm with you on this...
...I think MSNBC has taken a lot of flack for being like fox when they're not. I think Rachel said it best when she compared the two networks' policies on Friday night.

I don't know anything about KO and Griffin's actual relationship, but I do remember Keith saying a few years ago that as much as the front office didn't agree with his position, as long as he made them money he was in.

7. Bingo! Anybody can do almost anything on air - as long as the money flow is not interrupted. n/t

11. Tell that to the Smothers Brothers
They were making shitloads of money for CBS . . .

But if you make the Establishment a little uncomfortable they'll throw you away like yesterday's news.

9. Rachel's comments are important
in resolving this one. I'm really confused.

6. These Things Usually Are A Combination Of Things...
...many that happen on the inside we aren't privy to. I do think there is some merit in what you're thinking considering the timing after the Stewart event where the network got skewered pretty good as well as Tuesday's election coverage where there were times Keith looked either uncomfortable or disgusted working alongside Tweety. The other factor that I haven't seen are the ratings...were they down from other election nights?

Unless I see something otherwise from Keith or MSNBC, I'll still believe that the suspension was purely based on him violating his contract and that he'll be back in his chair in the next couple days. Bottom line is he's valuable to the network in their goal to get younger ratings than the competition.

8. Yep it's the timing that got me thinking
although the ReTHUGS winning the House could also be a factor, but that would be cutting off their nose to spite their face.

10. then they should have done it before the election
and during the World Series so Keith wouldn't need to work and could go to the game(S)

Maybe there isn't a conspiracy here
