The ONLY thing that is truly a blessing IMO.. It was getting unbearable especially because of how Nasty the Republican Ads were. Hopefully we have at least a year respite now..

7. That would be a gift to Democrats.
People in this country don't understand much about policy, but we know we hate political ads.

5. I haven't watched anything in the last month without taping
it first, just so I could fast forward through all those repetitive political ads. The Republican ads were the worst. In my area, the outnumbered the Democratic ads by about 10 to 1 in my estimation.

6. Sorry, but no...
A vast number of the ads you complain about are the fruit of Citizens United, and the usual suspects (Rove, Norquist, etc.) have said that they were so pleased with their effectiveness, and they have so much corporate cash available to them, that they plan to start running attack ads year-round, not just in the buildup to an election. So, if you have a Democrat who's up for re-election in 2012, look for the ads singlehandedly blaming them for high taxes, job loss, the deficit, and the bailouts to start running by this coming January, if not the end of this month. ;-)
