As is said, it's always the darkest right before the dawn
It seems as if we have lost another round with the bush* cartel when in actuality its only another step in the right direction. If this is played correctly the Dem's will come out smelling like roses so to say, as it seems that the Harry/Nancy duo is on top of their game. Continue to frame this war as bushco's* and the republiCON's because the American people have lost faith in bushco's* motives as well as their leadership. By pining the trunk squarely on the elephant where it so richly belongs and staying above the fray will insure that we will all be the winner's in the end, that to me is good strategy. The stench of the dead, Iraqi war, chicken around the bush* cartels necks is getting mighty rancid and in no way must we allow them to cast it to the side. Yes we can break these fools from raiding the chicken coop if we stay true to our mission. Which is, first things first, stopping the killings, then the impeachments can begin to be followed with removal from office and sending their collective sorry asses off to the Hague to face war crimes charges.
In other words I haven't given up

3. My MaMa used to
say that, along with "there is a silver lining in every dark cloud" and so forth. I agree with you, madokie, but it is getting increasingly harder to harbor any hope...any hope at all.

Thanks for the positive post.

4. They're pushing the Repubs further into the ropes...
the delusional gobs still holding out hope that their "fearless commander" is going to pull them out of this.

They will be imploding by September. It's going to be a BAD summer in Iraq.

The Democrats have made a good faith effort to stop the war legislatively and the Repubs won't budge. Unfortunately, the Democrats can't do it alone.

6. I agree with your opinion on the conditions in September.
Add to that the fact that the Iraqi Parliament is going on their two month vacation while our troops die protecting Iraq. It is going to be really bad for Bush in September because even the Repukes are going to start jumping ship.

11. Just one flaw in your thinking ...
The Dems are on the verge of buying this War only because Bush vetoed further funding. Remember? The dawn will come when both wings of the corporate party buy the farm.
