1. You are not. Especially here in Texas. None of the major cities
have reported. :wtf: Why, WHY, do we let the media decide who wins?

4. We are rapidly switching from one channel...
...to the other. Each channel is a pain in the ass,
so we watch for a minute or two (until we can't take
any more) then we switch the channel.

A pathetic strategy, I know. But it's how we're
surviving.

6. I'm Watching Chuck On Demand And Amazing Race On The Internet Because.......
I just can't watch cable news or any TV for that matter and hear the election returns. I just can't stand listening to anyone that may gloat at the outcome(s). I want to hold on as long as possible with the hope that was given to me in Nov of 2008. Even if that is just till morning.

10. You're not alone
I'm on the east coast and going to bed now.

Last week my wife asked if I was despondent about the election. Much to my surprise, I told her that I wasn't. I'm pissed, of course. Seriously disturbed. But despondent? No.

This is a great opportunity for the RW extremists - whether you call them teabaggers or republicans - to demonstrate, once and for all, that they are full of hot air. They have no answers. They have no proposals. They have only one goal, stated by their party leadership - to destroy Barack Obama. If in the process they destroy the country, that's fine with them. Actually, that's fine with me also. Because it's going to take the wholesale destruction of what's left of the middle class and the complete and utter dismantling of the social contract before reason prevails. This could take the next couple of years, or it could take another RW extremist president. Doesn't matter. The results will be the same, and the price we all pay, on the left and right, will be devastating - except, of course, for the 120,000 Americans who earn $8 million or more annually. So, at that point, perhaps the self-described anti-establishment, anti-elite, anti-intellectual, just-like-you types will finally realize that their so-called leadership - Boehner, Angle, Rush, Beck, McConnell - cared not a whit about them, and that maybe, just maybe, it will seem to be a pretty good idea to elect genuine smart people to govern this nation.
