Finally back from the Restore Sanity, had front row seats since we got there at 5am
and for anyone that says this wasn't way bigger than Beck's rally I call total bullshit.

I have never in my life seen this many people in one place at a time. Now I'm not the most reliable person when to comes to seeing this many people in one place at a time since this is the first time I've been to an event like this. But the turn out totally blew me away. I knew it was huge when we were so crowded that we couldn't lift our hands up because of the spacing between people. But when I first saw the overhead image on those monitors I knew this had to be historic. There were people crowded all around on every street around the mall. Crowds of people gathered on roofs and balconies. And once it was done we couldn't find a place to eat for 3 hours and we were forced to walk one way because of the huge walking traffic all around the area..

We got there at 5am so we got to be pretty much upfront (although at that time we already had a fairly decent crowd). My apologies I can't post pictures right now, waaay too tired. My legs feel like they are going to fall off. Will post pictures tomorrow when I get back to NM or at the latest Monday night.

What an absolutely awesome even, it was totally worth the 1,800 mile trip. I hope everyone else that was there enjoyed it as much as we did.

2. It was the Woodstock to Beck's Whitestock.
Dancing, fun, love, comedy.

It looks like it was a hell of a time. Glad you could go.

4. I marched in DC in the 70s. Nothing even close.

Sorry, Glenn, even with all the help the Washington Post gave you with that horrible pic, you lose by a factor of 10.

Proud to have been there. Never been amongst a bigger crowd, although none of the media - scared to death of Fox as they are - will acknowledge it.

But I was there, and have a history to call upon. This was the biggest ever. Easily.

7. We just got home from the rally.
It was a blast. I have been to several D.C. rallies, and this was by far the largest I have seen.

8. Glad I didn't go, as I would have felt too claustrophobic.
As Weird Al sang, "Haven't been in a crowd like this since I went to see The Who."
