Hoping WWE merchandise will equal votes for Linda McMahon?
Eariler this morning a thread was posted saying a Judge ruled that Voters could wear WWE items(clothing, hats etc) in the poling stations.

I posted that this was a wrong thing. Because McMahon = WWE and it was in a sense campaigning.

Mr. McMahon Strikes Again: WWE To Hand Out Merchandise Near Polling Places
Republican Linda McMahon might be seriously down in the polls for the Connecticut Senate race, but it looks like she'll have some unconventional help on Election Day, The Day reports. Folks from World Wrestling Entertainment, the company she ran along with her husband and business partner Vince McMahon, will be handing out WWE merchandise near select polling places.

This comes after Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz's (D) office backed off from an attempt to bar voters from wearing WWE paraphernalia to polling places, on the grounds that they would be construed as electioneering materials. Vince McMahon then filed a lawsuit over the matter, a judge sided with McMahon, and the matter was dropped.

Some of this Merchandise goes for a pretty penny... and I wouldn't be surprise if McMahon ends up having some Wrestlers near the poling places so People can get their items signed as they are reminded to vote for Linda.

1. They ruled the shirts could be worn
not be given as gifts, i.e. bribes...

2. I never really 'got' the ban on poltical clothing at polling places
how many of us changed our minds because we saw a cool t-shirt with some politician's face on it? Is it to prevent a bunch of people form showing up at a polling place with certain politician's name/icon/slogan and that some how being used to make a person feel uncomfortable for voting for a certain person? Maybe negative messages about one that might offend the other side? To prevent people from fighting with each other? I guess the last one makes sense, aye? Did I answer my own question? :P

3. Your typical WWE fan probably won't be the best advertisement
to vote for her. Very well could have the opposite effect. Having the WWE "stars" out in force will only serve to remind everyone about how un-serious a candidate MS. McMahon really is. When our elections become WWE spectacles, that's a pretty sad day for this country.

4. I think this might backfire on McMahon. My feeling is that she
already rubs people the wrong way. The only dopes that would vote for someone because they got a shirt were already going to vote for her.
