Beyond partisan politics, America needs to change direction

The Empire has been fun for the last 112 years, but it's petering out big time.

Giving the corporations everything they've asked for has made everyone suffer and the stupid Republicans and Blue Dogs are riding that train off the tracks. Giving everything to the corporations has even put them on the path towards self destruction. They see the writing on the wall, but still can't read the words. Their failure is our failure, if we continue on this path.

It's about time to change directions, consolidate and rebuild, if we can, and only the Democrats are capable of being the engine for real change, because it's in our roots.

We're the party for people.

People... That's what it's really all about, right?

The way I see it, were the GOP to win next week, I won't expect them to do anything to really help people. People are losing everything these days, and for a lot of people, losing one favored position is a wake up call. It's all about survival time.

So the GOP with push us all more towards the edge of the precipice, then give us a swift kick for good measure. They have no choice: They can't and won't govern, even when given chance after chance. They've completely forgotten what's that all about.

We're going to have people without anything to rah-rah about and we're going to have a Congress that won't care, if they win.

One thing that we will have for the next two years, if we lose Congress, is a tireless Barack Obama. He won't forget that it's all about people and, yes, he's going to have to consider rethinking the Empire too.

It's time for The Empire to go... It's rotting from within.

After we toss it, it'll be much easier to recreate and America where people come first and not the corporations.

All in all, if the GOP wins, they're going to end being losers in the long run. They've established their path, and it's one that'll lead to their own self destruction.

Our message should be: We're here for the people, we always have been here for the people....

It's time to come back to us.
