I changed my mind about civility in politics
I used to be against it, from our side, now I don't care.

I don't know exactly what changed, but today I hear Joy Behar call what's her name a bitch and I laugh. I see Alan Grayson's Taliban Dan ad and I laugh. I see the Aqua-Buddha ad and I laugh.

4. Civility was tossed out the window, I seen it start nationally & then went local..

every freaking thing now is a slug-fest, shout down, no common courtesy or decency. The politics of personal destruction has become paramount in our discourse. I recall times when Dems & Reps locally used to work together, it more like against each other now.

2. But what can we do?
We are the civil, kind people. We love nature, we love abused people and animals. We love the weak. We so want to help everyone. But now the Republicants will have all the money. I've been trying to collect money for Alan Grayson. All I got in three days was $8.00. We need help.

5. Well, that's a new one. It might even be illegal. I usually hand out
envelopes or tell people to contribute online

3. The Republics started it, and we'll finish it.
(D)s, in general, have far more talent, employ better writers and we have the truth on our side.

The willfully ignorant will never get it, but we do.

6. Kick.
I still like that our leaders will--for the most part--struggle with being civil with some of the nastiest, stupidest Righty-Tighty wingnuts ever, but the rest of us rabble and the entertainment world? GO TO IT! It can be done with wit and accuracy, or vulgarity and accuracy...I don't give a fuck. Just hit the target square. (that one's for sassy crackpot Sarah P.)

9. in the real world, and not in front of cameras... or on a discussion forum
it's the way most folks actually express themselves. We try to be better, but none of us are saints, including the santimonious finger-waggers themselves.
