13. Laz and I came into a windfall a couple weeks ago and we are going.

We could only find lodging and flights into BWI, though, and that was last week. DC booking is pretty close to unavailable. (I'm a government contractor and have booked many a trip to DC over the years; September to November are almost impossible to get on short notice no matter if there's a special event or not...)
Reservations are going fast; the Amtrack became booked up for that day; over the half hour we were discussing the day's schedule and figuring out what train to take down into DC, four of the available ten trains had become unavailable to book and all but the earliest train had all the cheap coach seats sold out.

14. Me. Anyone have sleep space for Friday night in hotel NEAR the Mall?

Downtown D.C. I was going to get a room and then decided that I would stay with friends in Baltimore, so I didn't get one and then changed my mind and the next day they were all gone. I can still stay in Baltimore, but would sure like to be in town already come Saturday morning.

I can pay! (and am Male and will sleep on the floor.)
