Stephanie Miller and Madison
An editorial — 5/19/2007 8:45 am http://www.madison.com/tct/opinion/135281

Progressive talk radio star Stephanie Miller and Madison have been involved in something of a love affair for the past year or so. Miller, whose show broadcasts from 8 to 11 a.m. weekdays on 92.1 "The Mic," defended Madisonians when Fox blowhard Bill O'Reilly called us Satan worshipers.

Madisonians defended Miller when Clear Channel tried to take liberal talk radio off the air here.

It's a good relationship. But we really don't see enough of one another. So it's good that Miller is in town today for an 8 p.m. event at the Barrymore Theatre, 2090 Atwood Ave.

Miller was a bit surprised when she made a morning appearance in Madison last year to learn that the Barrymore's bar was open and doing a brisk business in beer at what some might consider an early hour. Wait until she sees a Saturday night at the Barrymore. But when we say we love her, honestly, it's not the alcohol talking. This is the real thing.
