For the people who were interested in the new Sherlock Holmes series
PBS is showing the premier of "Sherlock" this Sunday. I think most PBS stations will carry them, ours does. I can't wait to see how this Sherlock measures up. I know someone had posted that they saw one of he episodes on a BBC channel and thought it quite good. Well PBS is running a series of them. I'll wait and see.

4. I saw all three episodes on the BBC
and was extremely impressed. Modernized, yes, but still faithful to the source material.

5. Sorry. Sherlock Holmes has already been done.
By Jeremy Brett with David Burke (although Edward Hardwicke was OK, too) as Watson.

No need for any other versions, thank you.

6. I'm working my way through all the DVDs of Jeremy Brett's Sherlock
at present, and I doubt I'll ever want to see anyone else in the role.

I have no idea how Brett managed to make that character so multi-dimensional -- twitchy and weird and sometimes nasty to Mrs. Hudson, and yet one would follow wherever he led.

7. it's fantastic.... it's crazy good
was in the U.K. over the summer and saw it then. I can't wait to see it again.

It was so popular over there that they have decided to make more episodes soon.

(NOTE to some PBS viewers - here in los angeles Time Warner cable has moved Masterpiece to Thursday night instead of Sunday)

as they say... "check your local listings"

enjoy
