How will Democratic voters react to the
ReTHUGS trying to prevent them from voting on election day? Who is watching the RW militias who work for them?

Where will Rove and the other thieves be hiding trying to hack the votes?

2. This is why so many are early voting and I absentee voted. I don't
trust these thugs. What I'm worried about is the reaction on 11/3 when they did not get the House or the Senate. There are a lot of nuts out there and they are going to be angry. BTW, and off topic, what are you hearing about our new hurricane "Richard?"

3. Our weather people are telling us to expect
anything from 4 - 10 inches of rain across the island and most Western Jamaica is already under water.
Models are confusing but for now it's just south of us - almost stationary moving SSE at 3mph. That said it is delightfully cool in Kingston this evening.

4. Though I'm not worried about our polling place, I think I'll vote absentee next time...

Republicans set up their tables and hand out literature in the parking lot, and always bug me to vote for them.

I already have my quick answer ready: "No thanks, I have no respect for the party of corporate tools and religious nutjobs."

Last time I just said, "No way in hell."

Voting by absentee ballot would be more peaceful.

5. I agree and the other nice thing, at least for me this time, there were
a lot of proposals. Unless you read these things through and have enough legalese knowledge, the wording is difficult. You can take your time and vote intelligently. Just remember to sign where you're supposed to or your vote won't count...

6. If we had poll voting here (we're mail-in only) I'd hang out at a "suspect" poll
and help the people who were being targeted by the R's goons. Kind of like their advocate or attorney.

Maybe those in other cities could do that -- grab a friend and stand guard?

my ballot was personally delivered to the elections office. No way will I trust voting on election day -- no more.

I knew the candidates on all sides, I read info on the propositions - I also knew the judges, the water commissioners - everyone. I really believe this is the first year in many that I was able to be truly informed thanks to mail in voting

8. Good idea about bringing it directly to the elections office. I thought the
voter's pamphlet was pretty good - and the Times has been doing a Truth Needle, too. I feel really informed this year, too. I sent mine in already, but next time I'll hand deliver it. :hi:
