Gore haiku
Despite being pounded for it elsewhere on DU, i'm still optimistic about a possible Gore presidency. With that in mind, I thought I'd start a thread for "Run, Al, Run!" haikus for those who are like-minded (and equally bored/nerdy, lol).

Maybe this will drop like a rock, but if not it'll be funny! ;-)

I'll start...

10. Here goes...
President Al Gore,
Your country needs you to run
for another term!

(P.S. All election-related 5-7-5 verse is true haiku, not senryu, because the election theme is a reference to the season of autumn.)

13. that's really interesting --
So does each season have its own name? Or just autumn vs. non-autumn?

14. True haiku are supposed to contain a reference to a season
any season will do. Non-seasonal 5-7-5 verse is called senryu.
