The time has come to stop posting (and reading) poll articles..
I could probably find, in five minutes, a dozen media stories here about how many races the Republicans or going to win, and a dozen alternative stories about how various races are tightening and how we have unexpected pickup opportunities based on the latest polls.

They are all irrelevant.

We should stop fixating on polling stories altogether. The bottom line is that many races are in in play and many of them will be won or lost by a point or two. What the individual projections are today or tomorrow or next week provide no useful information. We need to focus on supporting ALL of our candidates, working on the assumption that they are all in the race of their lives. Getting emotionally worked up by the latest poll (whether frustration at a bad report or elation at a good one), does not help turn getting out our message and turning out our voters.

1. I love these posts
An announcement on what we should and shouldn't do. Really, what do you know of most of us that would lead you to believe you know what is or isn't good for us, our motivation, or our time?

3. They have very little value.
If polls are mentioned at all it should be near the end of stories with actual substance. They don't deserve headlines.

4. Feel free to stop reading and posting
any poll article at any time. As for what I do with my time, none of your damned business. ;-)

5. I offered a different solution and that was to collect them all
in one thread every day until the election. It would make a good record of what the media is doing, imo.
