Us, Florida people will determine the nominee? between HRC or Obama?
Or Richardson Edwards...etc.? Big state, will have a big influence early on?

Kinda feels good...

Early primary gives Florida a big say in '08 vote
State jumps ahead of most others with primary set for Jan. 29, 2008

1. But There's Controversy Brewing... I See A Fight In The Works
from what I've been reading. I'm in a "red" county and so far most of my friends are opting for Edwards right now. That may not stand, but I hear it more and more.

Obama is right in there too! Many have slipped away from Hillary though. I was one of her biggest supporters at one time, just changed my mind. I could change again, but probably not.

Gore will be difficult for me. I still remember that night in 2000 and how I CRIED!!! But, sometimes when I think about JOMENTUM I feel better. That's one person who really really makes my head spin!!!

2. No offense but everytime I hear Florida and elections used in the
same sentence I get that cold, clammy feeling I had in 2000. I hope your state has elections worked out to the fool proof stage. And, I really mean this....no offense.

9. I had heard that Governor Crist(?) was going to do it!
It's something to be proud of and let's hope more states follow suit.

3. Didn't Dean say they might not seat the delegation from Florida
at the national convention if they made this move?

I think he said they could require Florida to use the delegation selection process already in the rules of the DNC.

4. Talk about blowing smoke.

"Meanwhile, the Republican National Committee has threatened to take away half of Florida's delegates if the primary is held before Feb. 5. The Democratic National Committee said the state would lose 50 percent of its delegates and all its superdelegates. The DNC also said it would penalize candidates who campaign in Florida for a primary earlier than Feb. 5 by making them ineligible for receiving any of the state's delegates."

I guarantee neither one will do what they say, Florida is that important, especially this time around for Democrats, Some say it's ripe. for flipping blue, I say it's ripe for not being stolen.

6. If I HAD A WISH... I Say Let "Er RIIIPPPP! I Myself Recall Florida
from long ago in the 70's... not so deep blue, but blue enough! How I MISS Bob Graham! I think I moved here when Reuben Askew was the Governor!

As Abbe Hoffman would sayy... STEAL THIS STATE! And the French would say... Storm The Bastille! I think I'll lop off with that, had a thought about the Alamo for a moment!

I "could" be wrong, but Florida MAY hurt Hillary! I don't read tea leaves, but I hear things now and then. Gore IS still popular here though!

7. It may not always be a *good* thing ...

some hardcore rethuglicants register Dem so they can vote in the primaries for the candidate they think is the worst choice or to cast a vote 'against' a front runner. They are in the vast minority but their vote is counted none the less. I suppose theoretically if enough of them got together they could impact an election but I would think it is not likely to happen.
