Alex Sink fields press questions post debate; Rick Scott flees, sends in Jeb Bush to answer for him.
On and on it goes in Florida...

Why did Republican gubernatorial candidate Rick Scott scram before the press could ask him any questions after the debate with Alex Sink on Friday night?

1. Scott is a crook AND a coward.

2. Scott was afraid of questions on his Columbia/HCA Medicare fraud issue.

3. Jeb Bush knows about Medicare fraud, so maybe he was a good stand-in choice.

4. Jeb Bush loathes the press, but when it comes to shoehorning another vicious right-wing crook into office, he'll make an exception.

Hey, who asked for Jeb Bush's opinion?

October 9, 2010

Here's what you didn't get to see on Univisión or online after the first debate between Republican Rick Scott and Democrat Alex Sink Friday night:

After the debate, Sink took questions from the press and continued to slam Scott as she did during the hour-long televised exchange. Also on hand for her camp were two of her GOP supporters, state Sen. Alex Villalobos and Miami-Dade School Board member-elect Raquel Regalado, and HCA whistleblower John Schilling.

Reporters awaited Scott after Sink left the stage in the press room. Scott didn't show, sending several surrogates instead: former Gov. Jeb Bush, Miami Congressmen Lincoln and Mario Diaz-Balart, former GOP state chairman Al Cardenas and state Rep. Jennifer Carroll, Scott's running mate.

The most memorable moment in the question-and-answer session: when someone asked Bush why he was taking questions instead of Scott. "I don't know," Bush said.

1. That's pathetic, you know. Scott runs away basically.
And Jeb has to speak for him but doesn't know why.

2. Jeb still has a strong foot print in FL and the reason Rubio cannot
be allowed to win. Rubio and Jeb, that would be the team..Makes me sick to even type it.

3. God, I hope people are smart enough to figure out what this means.
We don't need another leader who people think is brilliant because he knows he's stupid enough to know he needs to surround himself with brilliant people.
