They will report on sensationalistic stories because they believe it it will get ratings rather than the boring health care debate or the depressing war in Iraq, and in that business, ratings translates into increased profit margins for the shareholders on the board of directors.
is way more interested in profits from their incestuous relationships with Defense/Energy/and Government subsidized Corporations than they are with any piddling little ratings. I don't know of anyone who even watches it anymore. That ratings excuse doesn't fly anymore.
6. In our little city.. the City Manager was watching TV, saw a report
of soldier's deaths, followed immediately by a Paris Hilton siting... He got so ticked off that he ordered the town's flags to half-mast for the fallen soldiers. And Three weeks later, the flags are still there.
I hope they stay there until we're out of there...
