Says it, "After calling Jon STEWART a bigot went off the deep end and said Jews run the networks and discriminate against Hispanics."

3. "STEWART never mocked SANCHEZ's ethnicity/heritage. Just what he DID."
"STEWART hasn't commented but in a taping yesterday said, 'If Jews run the media, all he had to do was apologize!1"

2. Howie says CNN made the right decision. I disagree. It's an egregious over-reaction.

He should have been fired for being a bad, stupid anchor. But not for this.

4. Carole SIMPSON said Rick looks White, you wouldn't know'cept for his surname.
Mistah KURTZ said you carry scars inside.

One panelist said we'd see Rick again. Another one said never, "maybe at the local level. He's radioactive now."

7. Exactly what I'm afeard of, like Clarence THOMAS & Ruben NAVARRETTE
CNN.com already features NAVARRETTE, who does NOT represent Hispanics, detests "White Liberal Males" who he claims patronized and condescended to him and who set up Affirmative Action as a colonial/WhiteMan'sBurden type of thing. Yet he finds Rethug White Males' asses very tasty indeed.

8. What Sanchez said about Stewart isn't what got him fired by CNN
Edited on Sun Oct-03-10 12:24 PM by rocktivity
It's http://www.mediaite.com/online/rick-sanchez-calls-jon-stewart-a-bigot-says-cnn-is-run-by-jews/">what Sanchez said about CNN that got him fired by CNN!

"I'm telling you that everybody who runs CNN is a lot like Stewart, and a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart. And to imply that somehow they – the people in this country who are Jewish – are an oppressed minority? Yeah."

You're welcome.

9. Both support the idea that a company can hire and fire
whomever they choose and for what ever reasons they choose. CNN was just exercising that right. Why is Kurtz and Sanchez’s knickers in such a twist when the company behave in the exact manner that they have supported?

10. When your employee publicly trashes you, firing him is more than a "right"

11. I didn;t mean to imply that Sanchez didn’t step over the line and any reputable boss
would have immediately fired his sorry ass and be well within the bounds of righteousness. I am just saying the company exercised their prerogative, something that both say they are in favor of and yet complain that the consequence was too harsh in this case. I was calling K and S out for being hypocritical not CNN for being harsh.
