Meg Whitman's political team is calling revelations about Whitman's undocumented housekeeper "clearly a coordinated political attack" by attorney Gloria Allred,labor unions and Jerry Brown's campaign.

But the campaign said earlier statements by Whitman that she and husband Griffith Harsh had not been notified by Social Security officials inquiring about the housekeeper's statusmay be incorrect.

Instead, Whitman's campaign focused on attorney Gloria Allred, who first brought allegations forward that the Whitmans knowingly employed an undocumented immigrant,Nicki Diaz,for more than nine years.

Whitman spokesman Rob Stutzman joined Whitman's attorney Tom Hiltachk on a call with reporters this afternoon, trying to shift the spotlight in this story to Brown. ........(more)

I realize that things like facts never stopped her from running ads full of lies about Brown before, but seriously what evidence does she have that the Brown campaign was involved with this in any way?

What happened to having to prove your accusations? Its like she can just lash out at anyone she doesn't like and everyone sort of nods their heads. If I was Jerry Brown I would come out STRONG against these accusations and make it very clear that she has no evidence to substantiate her claims, he doesn't need to talk about the situation itself but he needs to shoot down this idea that he had something to do with it immediately.
