Poll: Extremist 'Tea Party' Represents Minority Fringe Views, As Media Ignore Majority Opinion

Poll: Extremist 'Tea Party' Represents Minority Fringe Views, As Media Ignore Majority Opinion

The political positions of those describing themselves as sympathetic to the "Tea Party" represent a vast minority view, far outside of the mainstream positions represented by 2008 voters, according to a new poll commissioned by Project Vote.

The study finds self-described "Tea Partiers", and their political concerns, are far outweighed by the views of everyone else, despite the absurdly out-of-proportion coverage granted to them by the corporate mainstream media…

1. BUT we won't hear that!
We're just going to keep hearing about these losers as if their goddamned opinions actually matter! The media will make them look like they're in the majority-- just as they did with bush's supporters in 2000!

2. There was a story in the paper yesterday that said
people that think the HCR didn't go far enough outnumber the ones against the bill 2-1. That came as a surprise to me I thought the majority of the people wanted it repealed.

12. Every time I see that bill described as HCR I cringe
It is actually HIR as it really has nothing to do with Health Care. It is all about Insurance Reform and not Health Care Reform..

4. Ooh, shiny!!
MSM just loves controversy and shiny, new things. And tooting their own horn.

Liberals arguing for progressive policies? Yawn, same ol' same ol' since the 60's, that's not news, ho hum.

7. Why in the devil doesn't the MSM understand the so called
reporting and pushing (for example of subjects) like the tea bags is why people are tuning them out and turning them off. Only a few tea bags and rabid republicans are now listening to them.

16. it's true, the only truth to be had is on the Tubes
What's really frustrating, though, is that there are an AWFUL lot of people who simply will not question what their tee vee tells them.
