Castle addresses 'outright lies' in his loss to O'Donnell
Edited on Sun Sep-26-10 04:16 AM by deminks
I found this article interesting in the description of the lies that were told, not for any sympathy for Castle.

KKKarl, is that you?

WASHINGTON ---- As the shock of his crushing primary loss begins to fade, Rep. Mike Castle is lashing out at the forces that he believes did him in ---- and that threaten the future of GOP moderates in Congress.

Castle said in an interview that distortions of his voting record by conservative commentators and the California-based Tea Party Express "clearly contributed" to his 6-percentage-point loss to tea party-backed candidate Christine O'Donnell. Castle did not vote for the economic stimulus package, health care reform or a move to impeach George W. Bush, as some commentators reported.

(snip)

Castle also expressed outrage with an online video by a former O'Donnell staffer citing "a rumor" that Castle had cheated on his wife with a man, an allegation that Castle called an "outright lie." During the primary campaign, O'Donnell twice repeated the rumor while denying involvement with the video.

(snip)

"I love the way they say, 'Well there's a rumor,' " he said, waving his hand and furrowing his brow. "Who made up the rumor, for God's sake? It's just absolutely totally false. This happened throughout this campaign. There were a lot of little hits and things like that that are very discouraging. It just makes it very difficult for people to be in politics."

(end snip)

I would not be surprised to find KKKarl behind Missy Chrissy from the beginning. His faux outrage about her win and listing all her 'problems' in the open made me suspect. Koch money can make a turd blossom, n'est pas?

8. Freedomworks wouldn't back O'Donnell
The people behind this rumor were I'm sure some local bigot tea-baggers and nothing more. The woman has no support nationally other than Palin.

3. ONE BLARING OUTRAGEOUS LIE WAS
The movement to impeach George W. Bush..there never ever ever was. Since the Democrats took office George W. Bush was above ANY LAW. And even the Democrats were in on that. Pelosi said NO IMPEACHMENT. So where did they get the "Movement to impeach George Bush".

I am not siding with Castle, I am just saying there was one gigantic lie.

4. nope! this one's not KKKarl's fault.....
...read The Backlash by Will Bunch. That book describes what happened in Delaware very clearly and especially the tea bagger people. KKKarl even went there once to try to get them to back Castle, but they weren't impressed by him. They thought he seemed to snobby and too much like the typical Washington politics they are supposedly against.

And there was another group of republicans who went there to try to get them to back Castle too. They also told them they should stop watching Glenn Beck and they should stop praying at their meetings. I'm sure you can imagine how they reacted to that....

7. Unless Castle endorses Chris Coons, I have absolutely NO sympathy for him.
Edited on Sun Sep-26-10 10:41 PM by Liberal_Stalwart71
He has no principles for me as long as he remains a Republican, especially seeing how the Republicans are now throwing their principles out the door in favor of O'Donnell when they just trashing her a few weeks ago.

Sorry, Castle. I may have pity for you if you endorse Chris Coons! Other than that, it's very difficult for me to empathize.

Hey, you ran as the Republican. You have to deal with the consequences of a party that has abandoned you, but you refuse to leave it!
