Damn I miss Bill Moyers on Friday NIght
What is Bill doing these days. I'd love to see him on Rachel before the elections.

Love you Bill Moyers.

2. And Maria Hinajosa and David Brancaccio on Bill's brainchild: NOW
Edited on Fri Sep-24-10 09:08 PM by Kolesar
Hinajosa was fearless. She had great composure. She kicked ass.

5. How about the segment when RWers mailed death threats to GOP congressmen over immigration?
And the bill could not get out of the congress, although bush was urging his cadre to vote for it

6. Me too.
But it seems it was getting to be too much for him. I hope someone steps into his shoes some day, sooner rather than later.

9. I miss him something fierce
I'm not sure if another one of his kind will be showing up anytime soon and his absence has left a huge void in my Friday nights.

11. Although not being young
myself anymore and really understanding the pull of retirement, I truly lament the absence of Bill Moyers. He was a classy, provocative and intelligent Titan who always had stimulating guests. When he stopped I felt like the last Lion had left the jungle of the airwaves to the hyenas, vultures and rodents.

15. Yes, so well said
Bill Moyers was the best in his field, no disputing that. I loved the guy because of the way he interviewed his guest. The way he would ask his thought provoking questions then sit and listen while we all listened along with him to the replies. Bill please come back we need your presence.

13. His absence was especially glaring last night.
Bill Maher had 2 right wingers on his show.

I'm reading "Moyers on Democracy" right now. Mainly on my e-reader at the gym. It's a collection of some of his speeches. Just reading his words, I can hear him speaking from the podium. here has never been another like him.

I used to keep a lot of his speeches Tivo'ed when I was running for office. Whenever I had a big speech coming, and a case of brain lock, I'd listen to him. Instant inspiration.

But, he was always good for some fun after Moyers on a Friday night. I miss the Moyers part.
