Pity the poor media pundits
Chuck Todd has a couple of them on now and they're all clicking their tongues and shaking their heads at how "disrespectful" Stephen Colbert's testimony was today.

I'm reminded of the media's slack-jawed stares when Colbert excoriated them at that press dinner years ago. They don't get it because this is as much about them as it is the thick-heads in Congress.

Day after day I watch the teevee talking heads sensationalize the petty while refusing to delve deep into the serious issues of our time. Instead of hosting thoughtful coverage devoted to the exploitation of farm workers they would rather clutch their pearls and faint on their couches because Stephen Colbert showed them all how ridiculous they are.

1. All I can say to Colbert now is ..."Bravo! Bravo! Bravo"!
This is too funny watching the fake media thumbing their noses at Colbert.

2. They'd rather ask why Obama wasn't wearing his wedding ring one day.
The idiotic trivial things they focus on... :eyes:

3. Ya know
The teabaggers are as much their creation as it is Dick Armey's and the Koch brothers'.

5. You won't get an argument from me
However, my current point is the complicity of our corporate media when it comes to ignoring the serious in favor of the ridiculous.

7. I heard RFK JR talk about this recently.
We hear about Lindsay Lohan because the media is more interested in entertainment than with any responsibility to inform the public. We need to break up the big media conglomerates and fast. I'm hoping this is something Obama turns to after climate change legislation and the November election.

8. His truthiness is popping their little bubbles of self righteousness
when it is THEY who disrespect their listeners by broadcasting propaganda. Then their accusations are usually exactly what they are doing themselves, which then effectively prevents a logical dialogue.

The RW game is to baffle and confound the left, so that there can be no sane dialogue. Stephen Colbert's genius is that his shtick is to be CRAZIER than they are--to beat them at their own game!!!! There's something to learn from this....
