Will Health Reform Be Repealed?
Interesting stuff from a National Association of Insurance Commissioners Poll:

- Only 14% of responders could identify September as the starting month for many HCR provisions.

- Nearly half believed that preventive care would be provided free of charge.

- Nearly half believed that ALL employers would be requred to offer insurance plan.

- Even fewer than half could specifically identify any of the provisions that went into effect this week.

- 25% believed a panel of government bureaucrats would determine health care.

I've been trying to find a link the the NAIC Polling data, but nothing but third-party commentary. But the fact is that people are still amazingly uninformed about HCR. It's no wonder support for repeal remains as high as it is. People are acting based on ignorance and fear - which is being perpetuated and stoked by the Republican and Fox News.

First, repealing a law is much more difficult than passing one.

Second, the fundamental provision of the HIIPPA is the legal mandate to do business with the industry and they will never jeopardize that golden goose.

2. In the Repug 'Pledge
to Screw America, Again', they refer to Health Care as Health 'Law'. I love how they play with words.

3. I am one of those that believe preventive care would be provided free
and that most if not all employers would have to provide insurance.. If those things are not true then I know absolutely nothing about this supposed "historic" Bill.

4. The facts...
Some, but not all, preventive care will be provided without copays. I believe (and somebody correct me if I'm wrong) that most newborn and pediatric preventive care -- like immunizations -- are to be covered.

Small businesses with few than 50 employees are exempt from the requirement to provide insurance, but the law provides significant tax breaks for those that choose to do so.

5. They can't repeal it directly, but they will try to defund it.
If the Republicans control one or both houses of Congress, there will be some compromise struck, and health care reform will probably be weakened immensely.

7. AND the reason is most people think what fox tells them
about the health bill is absolutely true. And the rest of the media never tells them anything. The media in this country absolutely positively stinks.

If they're consistent, that is.

They were demanding that we 'Kill the Bill' ten months ago, after all. Here comes another chance to do it.
