From Las Cruces, NM come this week's darkhorse Top Ten nominees, Al Perez and Ron Camunez.
http://www.lcsun-news.com/las_cruces-news/ci_16129847Reactions to two electronic billboard messages Perez has paid to have displayed have ranged from appalling to agreement, with many expressing surprise and shock. The message that has drawn reactions from many who have seen it: "More Mosques, Less Jobs, Vote Democrat??"
"The message speaks for itself," said Perez, who has lived in Las Cruces since 1970. "There's more emphasis being placed by our elected leaders on mosques these days than on creating more jobs and stimulating our economy. The current administration in Washington needs to be focusing on jobs and finding solutions to stimulate the economy. That needs to be front and center."...
But Las Crucen Ron Camunez, past secretary of the Republican Party of Dona Ana County and a former state chairman of the Republican Hispanic Assembly, said he finds nothing inflammatory with the billboard messages.
"To me, it's a message that puts both the Democratic and Republican incumbents on notice that people are not happy with what they've done," Camunez said. "People are tired of the same old rhetoric from the incumbents, and they want solutions to issues they've been concerned with a very long time.':wtf: It says "Vote Democrat??" right at the bottom! :dunce:
