UAW International "fires" one of the leaders of the resistance in Indianapolis

funny, i thought local reps were elected at the local level, not "appointed" to serve at the will of the bought-off "leadership" of the International.

some reactions:

What the Hell is going on in Indy? For that matter what the Hell is the Bob King Boy's trying to prove? That we the UAW Membership has no rights or say in how things are agreed upon? I really would like to see Mr. Bob King in Indy in public at a UAW Hall of his choice to address what in the HELL that he and the SOLD OUT HOUSE are trying to prove. That the membership has no VOICE or RIGHTS in our FUTURE. We as a membership have a contract and rights that are to be honored by the INTERNATIONAL and GM we bailed them out now it's GM's turn to honor the CONTRACT!!!! SOLIDARITY FOREVER OR HAVE WE FORGOTTEN????

4. isn't it, though? & the "leadership" voted themselves a payraise, to boot.
while they're colluding with GM to rachet their membership down to $12/hr.

in conjunction with the new vote the international is forcing: members had been asked to mail their votes at the hall & register their votes with the local as well -- on thursday.

if this guy's fired -- on thursday -- he can't be involved in the local's activities thurs, i'm guessing.

the request to register votes at the hall was a counter to the international's forced mail-in ballot & "independent" 3rd-party verification -- something members are saying is unprecendented (voting normally done in person at locals on local issues)

local wanted to be sure the international couldn't pull a bush vote count

members have been posting the notice on uaw international's facebook page asking for an explanation:
