Beck calls for a 2 state solution
Glenn Beck now thinks it would be a smashing idea for a wall to be built between progressive and conservative states.

So in other words, he wants the United States to Balkanize into a bunch of small countries that are all hostile to each other. He should ask the people who lived in Yugoslavia how well that all worked out for them.

God, what an idiot.

3. For once I completely agree with Beck.
I don't think dividing the country up would be such a bad idea myself. Once the conservative side completely fails we could reform the nation and move on to prosperity.

4. Wonderful! Then the blue states won't have to send so much of our money to prop up Dumbfuckistan!
Honestly, the red states would not and could not survive without us.

23. What if you subtracted military base spending from the above chart?
I don't see the first column as being places where we have a lot of bases, the second one where they tend to do so. It makes more sense to put an Air Force base in New Mexico than it does in Rhode Island.

Also, the places where there are large amounts of Federal lands would get more spending, and would tend to have less people paying taxes. And let's not forget pure pork, that's why West Virginia is where it is on the column on the right.

28. What does Iowa have to do to get in the blue column?
3 of 5 reps are Dem.
Guv is Dem
1 of 2 senators Dem
both houses of state legislature Dem
Voted for Obama.

We have come a long way here.

5. OH, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO!
And then don't come crying to the blue states when the red states fall apart!

Disclaimer: This is not a dig against those liberals who live in the red states. But damn, don't think I haven't thought this myself -- that if places like South Carolina want to secede, they should just do it and be done with it and see how long they last.

22. You know, I live in a red state.
And at times, I wished as Beck does. That would mean I would have to move way the hell up maybe 2-3 states, and be removed from the nice mild winter southern weather, but I'd do it if it does happen.
It would be great, and I'd have no choice anyway. These idiots who insist on voting for right wingers will fuck things up REAL quick.

9. I remember when DU and Daily Kos had pretty 2 colored maps
trying to do just that - but it was always I think a joke caused by frustration. The problem is that the red state land is currently highly subsidized by the blue state. I think a better analogy might be - not Yugoslavia, but the split of Pakistan and India, where there were movements of people to get to "their" side - and they are still a powder keg.

12. Wouldn't it be cheaper to just build a wall around Glen Beck?
And don't forget to soundproof it.

Hey, chalkboards can even be installed on his side of the wall.

16. I'm not surprised this nut is saying that. I had a college Professor who
Theorized that with the way the United States is evolving socially and economically he would not be surprised if in 50-75 years the United States was broken up into three or 4 countries.

17. Well you know one thing ....the CONservatives
wouldn't last long before they would come running to the Democrats because they need help. They don't want to pay taxes. They don't want a government. They don't want laws. They don't want health insurance. And without taxes they couldn't have medicare and social security, the military or police to protect them. So they would be living in holy hell now, wouldn't they. It is a shame that we couldn't just let em run wild and make sure they stay on their side of the fence.

18. I agree with the concept. I have reached the conclusion that
we are so culturally different---we talk past each other
rarely hearing what the other is really saying.

I do not like some big wall--just designate some areas.

You know, allow us a little time for us caught behind idiot lines to relocate. Maybe a little moving credit or something to provide a little assistance.
