REMINDER: Only 16 days until the big march in D.C. 10/2/10!
Saturday, October 2, 2010. The One Nation Working Together March will be HUGH!

More than 150 orgs are sponsors, from the NAACP to SEIU, from AFSCME to the National Council of La Raza, from NTA to the Courage Campaign.

The website has everything you need to know to help you plan to get there and to be a part of one of the largest lib/prog demonstrations in history!

On the West coast, I found a bus going from CALIFORNIA, and I saw another going from OREGON. For those closer to D.C., there are HUNDREDS of buses scheduled from the Eastern half of the country.

CHECK OUT THE WEBSITE FOR INFO ON: March Basics; Accomodations; Getting to D.C.; Getting around D.C.; What to bring; Persons with disabilities, and more.

For complete info, go to the One Nation Working Together website:

http://www.onenationworkingtogether.org/pages/march-details

4. How much you bet it will be better attended, but receive less
media coverage than Beckapolooza?

10. Not a blip.
OR . . . or, what's going to happen is that counter-protestors (Yeah, I'd sure like to see the Sea of Tea protest job creation) will show up with 1/250th the numbers of our side, and receive equal coverage.

For Beck's FailFest, four stations had full coverage of this fiasco.

12. I doubt counter-protesters will show up
Unless they can mobilize significant numbers (relative to the protesters), it would only be counter-productive.

But, hey, I could be wrong. And I wouldn't mind seeing a few teabaggers show up with their teabagger signs. :)

8. Thanks
There's a lot of information at the site to help us pull this off. I hope we'll keep this kicked for visibility.

13. I hope we can kick this for a while
There will be other threads later, but earlier is better to spur participation. This is already going to be far bigger than Beck's "Whitestock.'

9. Has anyone mentioned doing a DU meetup there?
It would be pretty easy to do (preferably early on).

18. Probably the best way to find out...
...would be to post a thread asking who's going and arranging a meetup.
