I posted the Bill Maher line on Facebook re: "Teabaggers hate two things..."
"Being called a racist, and black people."

One of my right wing FB "friends" wrote this:

"Just about Any Tea-partier would vote for Allen Keyes, and he is 100% Black, not an Oreo."

An Oreo?? WTF? I guess he's referring to Obama...

3. That was written by a white guy
Even I know that the pejorative for a half black, half white mixed person is "zebra."

Looks like your friends are due for a weeding out.

6. It doesn't mean a zebra.
It means a person who is black on the outside, but acts white on the inside.

14. Well, DUH, but that's not what Obama is
which is why that was so obviously written by a white guy.

7. "Oreo" means "white on the inside, black on the outside"
That is, a black politician who "talks white".

9. Ew. Keyes is a monster also, so I'm sure they could hold their breath and vote for him if no nice
white boy was running against him.

17. NO THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT
the time Steele tried to start a controversy about his speaking at a Black U. in Maryland and they were supposed to have thrown oreo cookies at him. It was proven to be a lie by everyone who was there at the time. But that didn't stop it from being played over and over on all the right wing talk shows and fox. IT WAS A LIE FROM BEGINNING TO END. That's the kind of guy Steele is.

I have another one I posted last year about him. His sister was married to Mike Tyson. She filed for divorce and was not going to get much money because she signed a pre=nup. This was back when Tyson had a lot of money. Well she wanted more, so she sent Steele to visit Tyson and threaten him. Steele at the time had flunked the bar exam about five or six times but he went to Tyson pretending to be a lawyer and threatened to have him arrested if he didn't give his sister more money. About the only time you can say Tyson stood his ground for having sense he refused. Tyson later got his license but he could have been arrested for fraud. Ehrlich knew this and picked him as Lt. Gov anyway to pick up the black vote in PG County and Baltimore city.

18. Bill Maher is right
As for the "Any tea-bagger would vote for Alan Keyes" line, that is a true statement--and correct use of the conditional verb tense. When they had the actual chance to vote for him (GOP presidential campaigns of 1996, 2000, 2008)...they didn't.
