Is it wrong for me to be worried about an O'Donnell win

I mean I've lived for 10 years in a state where we were pretty much solid blue except a moderate republican representative.

I never even bothered to help campaign in Delaware because our races were so solidly predictable. Better to help out in PA where I could make a difference (working both Presidental Elections, Bob Casey, Ed Rendell and a variety of house races).

I know that my state is overwhelmingly blue but this election is taking on a bit of that 1994 'Contract on America' mentality.

I do NOT want 4 years of O'Donnell as my senator. I had Santorum for 8 years back in my PA years and that was scary enough.

And yes I will be volunteering heavily to make sure she doesn't win.

While all want Coons to win, the risk from a Castle loss is far less horrendous to contemplate than having O'Donnell in that Senate seat. So, while it is a good thing in terms of Coons chances, he damned well better win. The consequences of not are just too awful to contemplate.

It just so happens that I voted for O'Donnell this morning. You are making me paranoid!

(I registered as Republican many years ago at 18 and never bothered to change my affiliation on my voter registration so I was eligible to vote in the primary. I'm a loyal Dem. voter Presidential but I admit to voting for Castle for rep. most of the time because he was decent when push came to shove and was a shoo in anyway.)

I have faith in my fellow Delawareans to vote against her in droves in the general. Delaware is a bit conservative for my tastes but I can't imagine people in the general election going Republican for senator so soon after George Bush. Especially not for this nutjob. Reassure me someone. Pleeaaase!

Castle has huge name recognition. He would easily win because many democrats have voted for him for years because he was always very moderate. In this small state many people have met him several times and feel like they know him. We would have lost a senate seat in a time when we need to keep every one we can.

O'Donnell can't win in Delaware.

I personally wish Ted Kaufman had run for the seat for dems. He seems like a genuine true blue dem. Coons is a bit small minded for my tastes but at least he too has some name recognition in New Castle County.

or circumstance that seems to play in our favor. It's not over until the last vote comes in. Complacency, I believe, led to the defeat of those who thought they couldn't be defeated. We must be vigilant no matter how favorable things seem to be.
