Even the Sports World makes more sense than the Political World
I have been a Saints fan since I first saw a billboard to bring the NFL to New Orleans so the recent success of the Saints has had me more involved than in past years when we had nothing much to get excited about. I have followed politics since John Kennedy ran for President and in both cases I have gone through the lean years and the fat years. I once thought I was glad the political world was not as insane as the sports world, but today I have to admit the sports world is more sane. I had a discussion with a Falcons fan our bitter rivals, and after at first being confrontational when we started to discuss facts we found common ground and had a real discussion. The political world such a discussion beginning would have made it most likely things would get worse and no fact would change the direction. Sadly, it isn't just left vs. right in politics, but both sides now are equally determined to resist common ground with those on their side way too much. I no longer feel it is worthwhile to stand up for a cause we claim is important to us, not because of the opposition but because of our own. It is sad that I can have a discussion with Falcons fan and have progressives that I can't seem to have a reasonable discussion with who I would agree with on most things but because we might disagree on one thing all contention raises it's ugly head and reason goes out the window. I don't see how we are going to change anything with this kind of silly goings on, but then I guess I must have lived too long.

1. The sports world has always made more sense than the political world.
Everyone has to follow agreed-upon rules, and if not, we have referees to punish wrongdoers. How often do you see that in politics?

5. huh????????
You must not be a football fan either because the Saints and Falcons are in the National Football League not Major League Baseball.

7. I live in Atlanta..
I just enjoy mildly tweaking sports fans with my "stupid" routine, I used to be surprised at how often it works.

I like some sports, just not any of the ones that are most popular in the USA..

Indeed, I even make my own videos..

3. How can you have a sports discussion like that?
No matter what you say, the Saints still suck.

8. when I say that they suck, it does not mean they are bad
it means, to me, they are evil. You know, the kind of team that wins by trying to injure old quarterbacks like Favre and Warner? No matter how successful it is, I will never cheer that type of play.

6. I am baffled, does anyone understand the meaning of my post?
It seems nobody gets it. I won't say what it is because now I wonder if anyone gets it.
