What can still be done at this late date to reduce the effects of those Repub-made Voting Machines
that leave no paper trails, and are still being used in most states? With the elections expected to be so close, those damned machines can make all the difference in favor of the Neocons. We're not going to let them do it to us again, are we?
2. That and only that is going to win the elections for the republicans
they are trying their best with the help of the corporate republican press to make it seem as if the republicans are leading in these manufactured polls. That way when the machines already programmed to give them the wins they will take control again. They can not ever win free and legal elections. So programming machines to let them win is the only way. And the Democrats had better damn sight do something about it. I wish each and every electronic machine would break down and never be able to be fixed again.
3. These machines have been around for at least ten years, and
we've had a Democratic Congress for the past four years. Not enough has been done aboout those machines so far. Can anyone else be blamed for the Democrats' negligence in this grave and serious matter?
I agree with you. I also believe that the Neocons have never won any election honestly. But if the Democratic leadership allows them to continue in their deceitul ways, can they be blamed for following their natural inclination? These are sick people. It's part of their sickness to lie and deceive. They can't help being the way they are. They can't stop by themselves. They have to be stopped. But the Democratic leadership doesn't seem to be very willing to even attempt to stop this practice -- to the Democrats' own detriment.
13. When will the Dems. begin to do something effective and
nationwide to neutralize the deception contained in those damned machines? They've only been around for ten years. It's about time that the Dems thought of something -- like replacing them altogether with something else.
8. It's a basically good idea that I never even thought of. But can you
imagine all the people voting by mail? The post office probably would be over-flooded, and possibly only a portion of the votes would arrive on time. So, we'll be having problems of a different kind. :o
11. One reason to vote by mail is because there would be a higher participation in the election.

You get your ballot in the mail weeks before the election. Then you get all the campaign literature and all you need to do is mark your ballot put a stamp on it and put it in the mail box. On election day you have nothing out of your normal routine to do.
You don't need to drive or take a bus. You don't have to worry where your voting place moved to and best of all, election day is weeks long not just one day. If everyone voted by mail you could have a very good voter turn out drive by phone bank. You call and remind people to mail it in!
12. You've got me interested in the mail ballot now. In a Repub.
state, who will do the counting of the ballots? Will there be equal numbers of both Rep. and Dem. people who will check in on the counting. And the same thing for a Dem. state, of course. The main thing is that cheating will be rendered impossible.
