Officer Could Face Investigation Over Ping Pong Video
COLUMBUS, Ohio — A woman said she has filed a formal complaint with the Columbus Division of Police after videotaping a police officer playing ping pong at a late-night party, 10TV's Danielle Elias reported on Saturday.
The woman, who asked not to be identified, said she has been awakened twice by parties in the Bethel Village condominium complex. Calls to police about the noise have been no help, she said.
"We actually got to the point where we were making a call to the police department and it was like a slap in the face," she said.
The woman said she was awakened Friday night by a party and looked outside to see a police officer playing ping pong at a table set up inside a garage. She said she grabbed a camera and started recording.
"A uniformed officer should be protecting the citizens of this city, not playing ping pong," she said.
