Bristol Palin was telling the truth on Leno...
Her mother IS out hunting...

Hunting for money, hunting for fame/notoriety which brings her more money, hunting for attention which adds more money to her accounts, hunting for power which will cause her to gain status and thus, more money.

It's ALWAYS been about the money...these folks of her ilk are always one step ahead of their detractors: we thoughtful individuals tend to project more humanistic/family/sociological needs and motivations upon these people, BUT they are driven purely by money, both immediate reward and that in the future. It was true of the clothes ('cloths' as Todd spelled it), the speaking fees, the book advance, the gifts, the network appearances, everything. The best thing that happened to her was a combination of Katie Couric's benign questioning and Tina Fey's impersonation. It made her marketable to the millions upon millions of those who would be sympathetic. She doesn't have to sell the entire country, even a small percentage will enrich someone beyond their wildest dreams here.

This has been true of her since she was 8 years old I'm certain: emotion, sex, love, happiness, tragedy...these are only itches to her. The real drive is the money, pure and simple. At every level these people plot, plan, and then ascend to 'greater' levels of acquisition. Believe me, she ain't done. and we had best better watch out - she is like the Terminator - she WILL NOT STOP, nothing can make her stop - no amount of embarrassment, being caught in lies, Vanity Fair profiles: these only serve to empower her. there is no shame, there is no remorse, there is no emotion of a positive nature: it is all directed sociopathy and narcissism. It is your worst nightmare, because there is no reasoning, no perspective, no fear, and no guilt.

And no intellect...none required, apparently. This too is an advantage...those of us who are old enough to remember Adlai Stevenson, will recall that the term 'egghead' was used derisively because he was just so brilliant, erudite, and well-spoken. One could argue that he would have lost to Ike in any event, but what we saw was a landmark event: the public denigration of education and intellect by the powers-that-be.

4. Yes...the nightly car-crash...
but after a while, she'll become more than that: she'll rise to real 'legitimacy', and once she crosses that threshold, there's no going back.

7. I think it's more
like a Willful Ignorance where opinion is fact. There is no logic, no common sense, no debate.

Like the bumper sticker: God said it. I believe it. That settles it.

11. You have something there
my wingnut brother in law is not stupid but, willful and opinion does trump fact with him. Now that you mentioned it I see it clearly in his attitude and the arguments he makes to my husband.

she has taught me well. As well as that book by John Dean about the Conscience of people. It explained a lot to me.

15. even worse is god probably didn't say it.. some drunken, syphilitic,
homophobic, xenophobic, self-loathing gay mega-church preacher probably said god said something he never said, and by god, it became true/fact. but then again, that doesn't really fit well onto a bumper sticker! LOL

12. Your use of the word GRIFTERS is exactly right!
That describes them perfectly. I hope it catches on. If you don't mind I'll try and include it in every Sarah Palin thread I come across. I hope you start a thread using that description.

8. Bristol Palin
Bristol also slipped up when discussing being pregnant during her senior prom. The dates don't add up there, Bristol. She may very well been pregnant during her junior prom, and that would have been the first of her pregnancies.

as to Sarah Palin's bizarre hypersexualized language, often violent, I'd really like to see some psych professionals discuss her "issues" as it seems to be a constant thing where she talks about pedophilia, rape, peepeing toms, padded bras, silk boxers, limp and impotent.

the woman was clearly overly exposed to sexuality as a commodity at a very very young age. Creepy and disturbing!

27. Sexuality as a commodity
Edited on Sun Sep-05-10 01:28 AM by PSzymeczek
is part and parcel of the pageant culture. My daughter knew several people who were caught up in that culture from elementary school on. Not that she was; we couldn't afford it, and I wouldn't have subjected her to that in any case, but she had "friends" who were.

9. You missed the bigger picture...she said she was pregnant and couldn't go to the prom..
Edited on Sat Sep-04-10 11:40 AM by HipChick
however the dates don't match for when Tripp was born..

Jay Leno asked Bristol if she went to her own prom. No, she said, she couldn't because, giggle, she was pregnant. Tripp was born in December. Proms are not usually held in October or November, especially when Bristol had been busy campaigning with her mom. She and her mom have got away with baby fraud and are laughing all the way to the bank..since the media aren't going to look into this

10. there is NO question that this whole
baby thing is off-the-charts lying by all parties...the old joke: you can tell that they're lying...when their lips are moving.

Somewhere, there's a nurse or an orderly, or a maintenance guy/gal who knows the truth and will sell the story.

16. is anyone really surprised by any of this? I mean when 'reality' tv
is believed to actually be real, that demonstrates the level of dumbing down and gullibility of the American populous. Sarah Palin and family were MADE for this point in time.

Shouldn't we be ignoring her as much as possible? I know that she is now a media phenomena but we can leave it at that anc just use her as an example of why the media has lost its integrity.

25. Excellent explanation of Palin's sociopathy! She is "damaged goods."
Jay Leno: "Did you go to your prom?"
Bristol Palin: (giggling) "No, I was pregnant."
Big laugh from audience, Jay and Bristol. Hahahahah!

Herewith: The Palin Family Parade of Hypocrisy
being wholeheartedly supported by the MSM.

Edited on Sat Sep-04-10 11:48 PM by HipChick
because nothing came of the other "oopsie" during the email hacking trial where she said she was distraught to find pictures of her baby (even though he wasn't even born yet).

The bottom line is nothing this family lies about it is EVER challenged by anyone, media or otherwise ... so the ruse continues and they keep doing it because it works. The Palins are such giant frauds
