So... If There Are Younger People Who Believe That Soc. Sec. Isn't Going To Be There For Them

when they turn 65... (According to surveys out there.)
And... some of those young people are of the Democratic persuasion...
Is that possibly why some in the Democratic circles don't seem as animated about the possibility of cuts/changes to the Social Security System???
And wouldn't that sort of be a self-fulfilling prophecy?
Or... are young Democrats just as committed to preserving Social Security as anybody else?
I'm in earnest here.
Not trying to flame-bait/divide/cast aspersions... just trying to get input as to what people of younger years think about this fight over Social Security.
is make an announcement - that with the cuts in Social Security, children will be expected to take in their parents when they retire. After all - their pensions cut also be cut, their healthcare cancelled and 401K's wiped out in the market.
2. No aspersions taken.. but you are correct.. the young people have to get engaged...

I was at Kent State.. I marched... I went to the Military. My Brother died of Agent Orange cancer on his body.. (except the VA said it was not really Agent Orange cancer).
I have been fighting since 1963... but I must admit.. I am getting a little tired. No matter how many years I have left.. I will fight for working people..families...honest people.
I could be wrong.. but I don't think the young people know what is closing in on them? They are busy texting (and for sure this economy is not helping anyone...) but I hope they are aware of the dangers that are lurking.
Then again.. maybe I'm just an old fart. We said, "Don't trust anyone over 30"....I am way past 30 and I dont trust anyone in government... still...
6. True... And I Guess I'm More Worried About The Young Democratic...
movers and shakers working in D.C. right now.
All fully employed... all have major pedigrees of higher education... most making great salaries... most who probably think that they will make enough money in their lifetimes that they don't need Social Security...
