Democrats hold financial advantage over GOP
(AP) – 2 hours ago

WASHINGTON —

Federal campaign reports show that Democratic Party committees maintained a cash on hand advantage over their Republican counterparts as they entered the final three months before the election.

. . . the RNC's receipts were less than half the $11.6 million raised by the Democrats. The Democrat Party reported $10.8 million in the bank and $3.5 million in debts; Republicans showed $5.3 million in the banks and $2.2 million in debts.

1. Big corporations will restock the RNC with lots of money this fall. Hundreds of millions.
There are no limits now.

2. The funny thing is
You would think the corporations would already have started pouring money into the RNC and other Republican organizations. Why would they wait until just before an election. It takes awhile to do ads and setup other uses of money so last minute contributions only go to keep them out of debt. Wouldn't surprise me if the corporations have bought into 'the Democrats are going to lose big in 2010' meme and are saving their money for the Presidential election in 2012.

3. you remember that
. . . for most of the year, Steele was driving big republican donors away with his mouth from contributing to his RNC.

4. They still have a lot of time for 2010, but your point about 2012 could be right.
