Question for today...
why do we pay for water when it falls freely from the sky. Just got my water bill and I am sick of this shit!

I thought there would be an outrage by the people when the Bush/cheney bullshitting admin made their back door deals and my energy bills tripled.

Nobody can afford this shit working or not the rightwing wants our wages to go back to $2.65 we can't live off of the minimum wages now, what's next charges for air?

1. That's why I'm trying to form a commune
The rich have been waging class warfare against us for over 30 years now. They are very successful in their divide and conquer strategy: we're all fighting against each other instead of fighting our common enemy.

My concept of a commune is just a group of people who share costs and work together for the common good.

3. I've been all over the idea of communes again.
Edited on Sat Aug-21-10 01:28 PM by Forkboy
I'm all for other people living together. Maybe it'll free some space so I can enjoy being alone even more!

Seriously though, I like the idea of communes, and have mentioned it to friends a lot over the last couple of years. It's getting to be time to hunker down with those close to you and just ride things out. Sticking together will be paramount.

4. It's not your grandpa's commune
Communes have evolved and changed a lot in the last 4 decades. People don't share living quarters (unless they want to). And it's usually not friends who make the best commune residents. Consensus governing ensures that all have an equal voice in the decisions and all income is shared among all commune residents.

The commune I am planning will make more electricity than it uses and sell back the excess to the utility company. The funds will be shared and will benefit us all equally.

Communes are all about sharing expenses so we can all live comfortably while minimizing the amount of money we funnel into the Capitalist economy.
