Speculation: Why didn't Dr. Laura say Sh*t or F*ck to test her first amendment rights?

Yes, now she says it's a 1st amendment issue - well.

If that's really the case - why not say the words that are actually banned from being said on the air instead of the n-word?

2. Because unlike Lenny Bruce, who was making social commentary
Schlessinger is just another fucking bully victim. She doesn't feel complete unless she is insulting those with less social power than her. She wasn't edgy or speaking any truth, she was just doing what all bigots like her do, telling those damn minorities to forget about the history of institutionalized racism, to forget about the continuing social obstacles to true equality.

4. Because she is a racist playing to the lowest common denominator...
and who steps up to defend her??

Sister Sarah Palin, of course.

There are a lot of them swimming around in the slimy moss on the bottom.

8. In her mind.........
...she probably wasn't testing it as much as she figured she was "exercising" it.

9. Because "n**r" will win her support with a large group of hateful, fringe people.
"S**t" or "F**k" will not.

There are a lot of people out there tonight who wish they could have said "N**r" on the radio...

10. if she was just testing the first amendment,
why didn't she let loose with a torrent of slurs, blood libels, and stereotypes about Jews?

13. Because the "N-word" is still considered less offensive...
...than the "S-word" or the "F-word."

This is the George Carlin test we're talking about. I'm not saying it's right, but the FCC is quicker to pounce on Janet Jackson's exposed boob than it is to jump on Spike for showing graphic depictions of killing during children's viewing hours.

14. Spewing racial epithets is less offensive that a word that sounds like Shitzu -
Sad reflection on our culture.
