1. Are they going to follow them all the way into Afghanistan?
Or Iran?

2. Take two steps right and you get the really Big War, a bit further and it's just a morass.
Nice choices we've been handed. Time to reconsider the game.

4. This post has been unreced by at least three people. Do you hate the withdrawal?
Or are you unreccing the author?

I guarantee no one will answer that question.

5. Probably the author and the fact that anything positive regarding Obama
automatically gets swarmed with unrec's.

So much for your guarantee, eh?

7. "Swarmed"
Interesting choice of words. Lots of threads got locked and lots of posts got deleted for that word.

I bet yours will remain, however.

Are you suggesting this thread got swarmed by a swarm of antiswarmers? Cuz for the life of me, I can't imagine what else you may have intended with your post.

8. I didn't realize "swarmed" was a bad word.
Either way, I speak and write in clear English and I don't think my post needs further explaining.

12. Sorry, but I have a life
and I don't foresee myself discussing the word "swarmed" with my friends and/or neighbors. In fact, in all the discussions I have had in my life with friends and neighbors, I cannot recall one instance where the word "swarmed" ever came up. I'm sure that word has been used at various times in conversations, as it is not an unusual or unique word, but for the life of me I don't recall it ever being the main topic of discussion.

11. I think they are unrec because this withdrawal may not be all it appears...
As the combat troops come out.. the State Department is going to send in 7,000 Blackwater Mercenaries (including Blackhawk Copters, armored vehicles and bombs).

There was ana article today that Erik Prince is moving to Dubai.. (maybe to be close to his troops?) Just a wild guess.

http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2010/07/12/doubling-the-state-departments-private-army-in-iraq/

The U.S. military is scheduled to be out of Iraq by the end of 2011, but a super-sized diplomatic mission will be staying on in Baghdad’s fortified Green Zone. And that means the State Department’s army of private security contractors may more than double.

The State Department has already put in a request for some serious military equipment, including two dozen UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters and 50 Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected trucks. But according to a joint statement issued by commission co-chairs Michael Thibault and Christopher Shays, the State Department may also need to more than double its private security force, from around 2,700 today to 6,000 or 7,000 personnel.

9. Where is Obama?
This is the time for Obama to go on TV and take credit!
Where is he? He's missing a great moment to get his due!
